CLUB HISTORYCosta Ballena Ocean Golf Club, designed by Spain's legendary golfer, Jose Maria Olazabal, opened in 1997.
The 27 championship holes and the 9 hole PAR3 Executive course were sculpted from flat farmland producing a versatile course which is easy to walk.
Costa Ballena Ocean Golf Course has hosted a long list of prestigious matches, starting with the European Tour Second Stage Qualifying, The Cuadrangular Internationals at Costa Ballena, the King and Queens Cup and since 2005, the European Tour Qualifying School.
In addition, the superb training facilities have enticed many European National Teams to use Costa Ballena during the Winter months. -
Chantarella Restaurant – Open to the seasideThe Chantarella Restaurant situated in the clubhouse with its amazing views to the Atlantic Ocean from the terrace is full service restaurant renowned for its authentic Andalucian, Spanish, and international food.
Perfect for just snacks or tapas after a round.
The Chantarella also offers elegant dining for the most discerning clients. With a capacity of up to 500 guests using indoor and outdoor facilities, it's the ideal place for any kind of corporate events and private celebrations.
Opening times during spring and summer: 1-4pm and 8-11pm.
The cafeteria and good value snack bar provides breakfast, combined dishes, tapas and sandwiches.
Opening times throughout the year: 10am – 7pm.

CLUB HOUSEThe Costa Ballena Ocean Golf Course clubhouse design was inspired by the typical cottages that can be found in the nearby Doñana National Park.
These cottages, known as 'chozas,' are renowned for their quaint style which blends perfectly in the local surroundings. The interior of the clubhouse carries on the theme of intimate ambience and quality. The pro shop offers a wide variety of the best in golf equipment and apparel.
The spacious locker rooms include saunas and Jacuzzis and a gym specializing in golf fitness which can be used by all golfers.
There is also a free Wireless-LAN connection throughout the clubhouse. The views from the club house terrace over the Atlantic Ocean are quite unforgettable. -
