| Club House & Facilities
The Costa Ballena Club House was inaugurated in 2001 and to celebrate we organised The International Quadrangular match. The teams participating were England, Germany, Sweden and Spain with the English team winning in the category of round robin.
The building is complete with modern facilities and inspired by the architecture of the area, fundamentally in the style of the huts in Doñana natural park which were built by the inhabitants with vegetable coal using "lentisco", bramble and rockrose.
The main characteristics of these huts were the roofs made of girders and castanet grass. The castanet can be found in the whole area especially in Doñana. Other typical characteristics are the white washed walls and the tiny windows letting minimum light into the house during the summer months.
At first glance Costa Ballena's Club House seems a very small and modest building with few pretensions. However, taking a step inside, this sensation disappears as an expanse of space opens up with the warm coloured walls, changing rooms, pro shop, lounge, restaurant, conference room, terrace and garden with views of the driving range and the sea. The Club House provides maximum comfort and hospitality for the visitor.
With the ocean changing every day according to the sun and seasons of the year the wide terrace offers a perfect end to a day's golfing on a magnificent course, designed to cater for every golfer.
Costa Ballena's putting green has a very large surface with big breaks and flat areas equal to that of the world's most demanding courses. The vast chipping green allows the player to hit shots from 5m to 70m including bunkers the short game. The driving range consists of a wide installation making it possible for 140 people at once to be hitting golf balls. With a beautiful view of the Atlantic you will be wanting to hit balls all day.
The regional cuisine is influenced by the vast quantity of wines and brandies which are produced in the numerous bodegas. Seafood is also on offer in all restaurants with every kind imaginable.
- Fishes: Gided, Urta, Pijota, Mojarra.
- Seafood: Shrimps, Sea crabs, Prawns, Cañaillas.
- Cheeses & spiced pork sausages: of great variety in the villages of the sea.
